Almost every technology company offers “a conversation with no strings attached” and never says what happens in it. Here is what happens in ours.
How it goes
-
You tell us the situation
By video call, which is the default, or in person if you prefer. The person you talk to is the person who builds it, with no intermediary layer and no call-centre script.
-
We map it
Systems, processes and bottlenecks: what exists today, where the operation gets stuck and what has to change. It is the part that takes work, and it is what prevents a proposal built on guesswork.
-
You get it in writing
A report with the risks ranked by impact and a prioritized roadmap. No verbal-only conclusion that nobody can read back later.
-
You decide
With an investment range and a timeline in hand, before committing to anything. Carrying on with us is one of the options, not the only one.
What you take away
The assessment ends in a document, not in a meeting. You keep:
- A report with the risks ranked by impact
- A prioritized roadmap, with estimated effort and expected gain
- A comparison of alternatives, with the decision criteria spelled out
- An investment range and a timeline, presented before any commitment
That material is yours even if you do not carry on with us. If you take it to another team to execute, it works just the same.
What makes the conversation more productive
None of it is required, but these three things shorten the path considerably:
- The people who run the process with you: whoever does the work day to day knows better than any org chart where the process gets stuck.
- The list of systems in use, including the informal ones: the spreadsheet, the WhatsApp group, the notebook.
- One real example of the problem: a report that takes effort, an order that got lost, a month-end close that ran late.
What does not happen
- A technical proposal in the first conversation: understanding the problem comes first. Proposing without understanding is what produces projects that solve nothing.
- A price before we understand: any number given before the assessment would be a guess, and we would rather say so than invent one.
- Any obligation to carry on: the assessment binds you to nothing. If the conclusion is to do nothing right now, that is what we will tell you.
Shall we book it?
Tell us the situation in two lines and we will sort out the rest. No commitment and no proposal before its time.
